HARLEM CULTURAL FESTIVAL Foundation is dedicated to providing equitable access to physical and mental health education for the Harlem community. Through targeted programming, resources, and services, we address the major social determinants of health.

Maternal Care Culture Brunch

Harlem Cultural Festival Foundation and Dr. Yolanda Cares Foundation, in partnership with Northwell Health hosted A Mother's Shower on May 13, 2023. The event featured a brunch followed by an intimate dialogue moderated by double board certified Physician, Award-Winning Wellness Advocate and Best-Selling Author Dr. Yolanda Lewis-Ragland. Topics focused on Black Maternal Health and the related health disparities that adversely affect the Black family and community. Speakers included Endocrinologist & Fertility Specialists from Northwell Health.

A Harlem Mother’s DAY Shower

Presented in partnership with Northwell Health, Proudly Baby Care, Dr. Yolanda Cares Foundation and Marcus Meets Malcolm, Harlem Cultural Festival Foundation produced A Harlem Mother's Day Celebration on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Food was provided by local business Harlem Seafood Soul along with live music and entertainment, wellness services by Northwell Health, children's activities.

Supporting Black Men
& Their Mental Health

Harlem Cultural Festival Foundation and Dr. Yolanda Cares Foundation, in partnership with Northwell Health, hosted a reception and panel discussion on Supporting Black Men and their Mental Health on June 9, 2023.

Moderated by double board certified Physician, Award-Winning Wellness Advocate and Best-Selling Author Dr. Yolanda Lewis-Ragland, the intimate discussion addressed the mental health issues impacting African American men and the related health disparities that adversely affect the Black family and community. Featured guests included leading health care professionals from Northwell Health and the Rodham Institute of Health.
