Harlem Cultural Festival Foundation partnered with the Business Council of NYS to host a Civic & Community Engagement reception on October 17, 2024 at the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel. The reception featured an exhibit of (3) Harlem based businesses:
Uncle Waithley’s Beverage Company, Mama’s One Sauce and Charles Pan Fried Chicken.
The event provided valuable brand exposure and sampling opportunities for the businesses to reach an audience that included 75+ NYC/NYS & Harlem legislators, as well as civic leaders & corporate executives.

HARLEM CULTURAL FESTIVAL FOUNDATION + DESIGN CHALLENGE •
Harlem Cultural Festival Foundation partnered with Steve Madden to launch the Design Challenge which provided Harlem based designers with access to mentorship, industry knowledge, and career pathways in fashion. Applicants were provided the opportunity to submit graphic design artwork to be printed on a 3-piece collection. Five finalists were invited to visit Steve Madden’s Long Island City based Corporate Headquarters and Shoe Factory, as well as the company’s New York City-based retail store and show rooms.
